International seminar „Fontes Iuris Romani: Typology and Research Methods”
1W antycznych źródłach prawa rzymskiego przez ponad 20 wieków poszukiwano odpowiedzi na aktualne pytania. Ustawodawcy, sędziowie i adwokaci traktowali je z nabożeństwem zbliżonym do tego, jakie teolodzy okazują swoim świętym tekstom. Z tego powodu wykładowcy uniwersyteccy uważali je za absolutnie konieczną podstawę prawniczego wykształcenia.
Uczestnicy międzynarodowego seminarium Fontes Iuris Romani: Typology and Research Methods, którego gospodarzem jest Wydział Prawa i Administracji Uniwersytetu Szczecińskiego, zastanowią się nad rolą, jaką prawo rzymskie odegrało w ukształtowaniu prawnego oblicza współczesnego świata. Podejmą również refleksję, czy dotychczas wykorzystywane sposoby egzegezy źródeł prawa rzymskiego, a także ich gradacje i klasyfikacje zachowują aktualność w postmodernistycznym świecie.

For more than 20 centuries, ancient sources of Roman law have sought answers to current questions. Legislators, judges and lawyers have treated them with a devotion similar to that which theologians show to their sacred texts. For this reason, university professors considered it an absolutely necessary basis for legal education.
The participants of the international seminar Fontes Iuris Romani: Typology and research methods hosted by the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Szczecin will reflect on the role that Roman law played in shaping the legal face of the modern world. They will also take into consideration whether the previously used methods of exegesis of the sources of Roman law, as well as their gradations and classifications are still valid in the postmodern world.
