The School of Lithuanian Law is officially opened

This is what the beginning of an adventure with the Lithuanian law was like for any participants. Together with representatives of the Vilniaus Universitetas/Vilnius University we officially opened the School of Lithuanian Law. Now time for the studying itself.

During the event, His Magnificence prof. dr hab. Waldemar Tarczyński, Rector of the University of Szczecin and dr Arturas Vasiliauskas, Deputy Rector for Partnership of the Vilnius University, signed an agreement on cooperation between our centres. Our University has gained a new foreign partner.

We hosted our partners from Vilniaus Universitetas/Vilnius University. Dr hab. Ewelina Cała-Wacinkiewicz, professor of the University of Szczecin, Dean of the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Szczecin, prof. dr Vigita Vebraite, Deputy Dean for Studies of the Faculty of Law of the Vilnius University and dr hab. Vytautas Nekrosius, professor of the University of Szczecin, Head of the School of Lithuanian Law, performed a symbolic act of the opening of the School. We are pleased that our shared project has attracted great interest and that more than 100 students applied for a place.

The focal point of the ceremony was a lecture by prof. Rimvydas Petrauskas, Rector of the Vilnius University, “The Union of Lublin and the Commonwealth of Both Nations”.
