    Open Lecture “AI in the system of intellectual property rights. A national and European perspective”

    We warmly invite you to an open lecture by Professor Daniela Caterino from Aldo Moro University of Bari (Italy), an expert in business law and intellectual property law.

    Professor Caterino will deliver a 1.5-hour lecture focused on the challenges and developments related to intellectual property protection in the context of artificial intelligence, from both national and European perspectives.

    Daniela Caterino is Full Professor of Business Law at Aldo Moro University of Bari, where she teaches Advanced company law and IP Law in the Law degree course at the DJSGE Dept., in Taranto. She also teaches Personal data treatment in the Master course of Informatic Security, at Informatics Dept. In 2011 she was visiting professor of International Business Law at La Matanza University in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

    She is now Dean of the MBA Master Program of the DJSGE Dept., and in 2013-2016 was Dean of the Law Degree Course in the same Department. In the same years she was also member of the Board of Directors of Retegas Bari s.p.a.; lately, up to 2023, she has been member of the Italian Banking Ombudsman Council.

    She is of counsel – Freebly TM, Milan, the first benefit law firm established in Italy. Her main research interests are corporate governance, author’s right, copyright; in these days she is writing about AI in the abovementioned fields.
